Songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist Adam Wood crafts songs where pop elegance meets rock grain, soul warmth and folk intimacy. Subtly retro, handmade songwriting charting its own course between France’s Cantal region and America.
After the 2012 maxi A Forest Behind the Tree, the album Hang On in 2014 and the EP Hello Again in 2019, Adam Wood built a patient, coherent body of work. Founder of his own label, Freemount Records, he has always cultivated a love of craft, production and artistic direction.
Back in his native Cantal in 2024, he turned a family house into a studio and recorded Lucky Charm there with his band under Victor Michelot’s guidance. A love letter to the 1970s in which Paul McCartney, Big Star, Steely Dan and Beck become starting points for a deeply personal world.
