MONTAGNE ROUGE
Krautrock · psychedelic trance · geometric rock
Repetition until trance takes over.
Formed in Clermont-Ferrand in 2022, instrumental trio Montagne Rouge start with repetitive, geometric and psychedelic rock before derailing it into something acidic, jagged and resolutely energetic. Guitar, bass and drums: three musicians pulling one another deeper into chaos—and making it hold together.
The initial idea was repetitive, geometric, psychedelic instrumental rock. The result chose the accident instead: unpredictable motion, acidic patterns and a tension that refuses to walk straight. With no vocals or fixed anchor, the trio turn every track into a living machine.
After a debut album in January 2024 and a split with KROUSTiBATT in October 2025, Montagne Rouge expanded their live circuit across France and Europe. Released in September 2026, the Live Session cassette accompanied a new run through Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, including Tilburg’s Murf/Murw festival.

in the room.
John on guitar, Manu on bass and Hugues on drums move forward without vocals or downtime. Time signatures turn, branch out and thicken into a physical trance: precise, never fixed.
