Repetition until trance takes over.

Formed in Clermont-Ferrand in 2022, instrumental trio Montagne Rouge derail krautrock’s straight lines into geometric, acidic and psychedelic rock. Guitar, bass and drums: patterns interlock, shift and eventually carry the body away.

The initial idea was repetitive, geometric rock: instrumental, with psychedelic edges. It took another route—nervous compost-rock, acidic takatakata and tracks that refuse to walk straight.

After a debut album in January 2024 and a split with Kroustibatt in autumn 2025, the trio have already played around fifty shows across Europe. A cassette from their Raymonde Live Session accompanies a tour from 23 September to 6 October 2026, followed by a December residency devoted to an entirely new set.
