The New York night has found its voice.

Since 1995, Jennifer Charles and Oren Bloedow have shaped music that is sensual, dark and magnetic. Jennifer’s hypnotic voice, Oren’s refined guitar work and arrangements bridging East and West create an instantly recognisable signature.

Refusing compromise, Elysian Fields have built a constantly evolving language across thirteen albums: ethereal ballads, noir rock, cinematic explorations, spiritual romanticism and electric surges. A wider family of New York musicians has always surrounded the duo, turning every record into a new laboratory.

Recorded in New York with their French rhythm section, What The Thunder Said unfolds across twelve songs of natural visions, urban landscapes, desire and mortality. In 2025, the band celebrated thirty years of independence and invention with vinyl reissues and a documentary project devoted to their journey.

On European tours, Jennifer Charles and Oren Bloedow are joined by Matthieu Lopez, aka Matt Low, on bass and Olivier Perez, aka Garciaphone, on drums. The voice draws the room in, the guitars open new perspectives and every song becomes visceral, elegant and unpredictable.
