The practice

The poster as a field of expression.

Alexandre, aka BrianCougar, brings together graphic design, hand-printing and knowledge sharing. The poster is the medium that best expresses his approach and craft.

He composes digitally, combining photographs, drawings, patterns, flat colour and typography while already thinking through the screen-printing process: layer after layer, colour after colour. Superimposition, texture and support do not come after the image; they guide its construction.

Screen-printing is also an engaged medium, deeply linked to popular and underground cultures. BrianCougar turns it into both a visual language and a tool for encounter, moving freely between gig posters, events, exhibitions and workshops.
